How Can You Tell If You Need A New Roof?

You don’t have to wait until your roof is leaking to know you need to change it. Here are some tips and tools to help you check if you need to fix your roof:

  • Roof Age- how old is your roof? Experts advise to change the roof every 20-25 years.
  • If your roof is missing shingles, or the shingles are crumbling or curved– that’s a good sign to change your roof.
  • Sunlight is coming from the roof– if you can see sunlight coming through the roof that is a definite sign that you need to change your roof.
  • Check for water damage across the house– if you suddenly see water damage on the ceiling across your house you might have to get a specialist to check your roof.
